OBSFUCATE
Obfuscate is the uncanny ability for Kindred to conceal themselves from sight, sometimes even in full view of a crowd. An Obfuscated vampire doesn't actually become invisible, however — rather, he is able to delude observers into believing that he has vanished. Obfuscate also allows Kindred to change their features and conceal other people or objects. Unless the Kindred chooses to make herself seen, she can remain obscured for as long as she wills it. At higher levels, the vampire can actually fade from sight so subtly that those she has not attacked or initiated hostile actions against can't actually recall the moment at which she left.​

SYSTEM: While most Obfuscate powers require no roll there is still a system to how it works.
Upon entering the scene the Obfuscated Vampire must roll Stealth + Wits vs Perception + Wits of everyone there. This will determine if they are seen by anyone or not. Additional the same contested roll must be made when: Objects are moved, doors are open, larceny is attempted, etc.

LEVEL 1
​
â—‰ Unseen Presence
The vampire can move around without being seen. Shadows seem to shift to cover him, and people automatically avert their gazes as he passes by. Others move unconsciously to avoid contact with the cloaked creature. Since the vampire fully retains his physical substance, he must be careful to avoid contact with anything that may disclose his presence (knocking over a vase, bumping into someone). Even a whispered word or the scuffing of a shoe against the floor can be enough to disrupt the power.

LEVEL 2
​
◉◉ Silence Of Death
Popular among the Banu Haqim, this power completely silences the user, nullifying all sound made by them. As with other Obfuscate powers, this only works on people within earshot and does not fool microphones or other electronic sound detectors. Unlike Obfuscate in general, this power works only on the sense of hearing, but in exchange operates more robustly. A vampire needs to make a whole lot of noise to break this silence.

The user silences their footsteps, clothing, minor collisions, and other sounds of their person. This adds +1 to Stealth rolls.

Shadow Feint combines the characteristics of Celerity and Obfuscate to blur the perceptions of the Assamite’s enemies.

Adds +2 to next attack and defense roll as vampire is fading in and out of obfuscate cover.

LEVEL 3

◉◉◉ Mask Of A Thousand Faces
The vampire can influence the perception of others, causing them to see a face different from his. Although the Kindred's physical form does not change, any observer who cannot sense the truth sees whomever the vampire wishes her to see. The vampire must have a firm idea of the visage he wishes to project. The primary decision is whether to create an imaginary face or to superimpose the features of another person. Manufactured features are often more difficult to compose in believable proportions, but such a disguise is easier to maintain than having to impersonate someone else. Of course, things get simpler if the Kindred borrows the face but doesn't bother with the personality.

Vampire may look like a bland looking face, a forgettable individual, wearing forgettable clothing upon activating this power.
Additional vampire may try to impersonate someone after studying them for at least 5 turns. This however can be challenged as you must roll Performance + Obfuscate vs Perception + Wits when interacting with others while using that disguise.

◉◉◉ Ghost In The Machine
The user can now transmit the effects of Obfuscate through electronic media, allowing the vampire to appear invisible or masked when viewed live on screen. If an observer views the image later, as in a photograph or recording, the effect lessens: the image seems slightly blurred, making identification hard. In addition, automated surveillance has a tendency to glitch in the presence of the vampire, lessening their chance of being caught by automated systems.

As the power states, this level of Obfuscate protects your identity when it is transmitted or recorded in any way.

◉◉◉ Apparition (CHIMERSTRY 1-4)
Rather than using Obfuscate to mask themselves from view or change their form, the Ravnos have developed a method to project this mental manipulation on an area; rather than effecting only the Ravnos, Apparition draws upon the Ravnos' Fortitude to allow the Ravnos to create illusory people and things with a semblance of life and substance; illusory people move or speak, illusory water drips and ripples, and illusory music changes from song to song.

This power may affect one or all senses at once, appearing like a reality in space that it occupies. This means that everyone can see it. However despite being tangible it dissipates at a considerable contact, and therefore unable to cause damage.

It also may be used to create an illusion that can repeat a loop, such a cop patrolling the area.

The illusion also may be broken through contested roll of Wits + Perception vs vampires Resolve + Obfuscate
AREA OF EFFECT: Apparition affects an area equal to the vampires Wits + Obfuscate level in meters.

◉◉◉◉ Vanish From The Mind's Eye
The vampire can activate Cloak of Shadows and Unseen Passage even while under direct observation. The vampire appears to vanish in the blink of an eye; even the memory of them becomes foggy and indistinct.

Costs 1 Blood Point
The vampire fades from vision and the observers that failed the resist roll feel confused for a turn.
Each success in excess of observers successes causes the individual observer forget 1 turn of the vampires last actions.

Physical evidence such as injury to those involved in combat with the vampire using this, personal items of that the vampire left behind, will allow people to reasonably conclude what went down. Audio and Video recordings will paint the entire picture. This power does not represent immunity to consequence, only a way for a vampire to cover their emergency exit from a scene and remove memory of what his -last- actions were. Prior actions and build up to the point where memory becomes unclear are still remembered.

You can turn dream into reality, lending genuine verisimilitude to your imaginary creations. Your phantasms gain a tangible reality and are capable of interacting with the real world in concrete ways — even causing harm to your enemies, as you choose.

Duration: A Scene
This power makes illusions real for duration of time, this means these illusions can't be disbelieved and also may deal damage. This may be anything along a car slamming into someone, a random human or a creature, a duplicate of yourself, or even a weapon at hand. However a few rules apply.

When creating what appears to be a sentient illusion (thug, zombie, duplicate of yourself) if will move as long as you are controlling it, which means you would forfeit any other offensive actions yourself.

When acting with an illusion roll Resolve + Obfuscate. (you may include bonus from fort or other such resolve boosting power)

The health of the illusion is equal to Resolve + Obfuscate (you may include bonus from fort or other such resolve boosting power)

When using it to create a weapon the attack bonus of the weapon depends on successes scored on a creation roll (maximum 5.)

AREA OF EFFECT: Each dot in Resolve and Obsfuscate adds +2 meters to the size of any illusionary object , for example a 20 meter bridge would require Resolve 5 and obfuscate 5 to create.

Note: the damage done by horrid reality can cause torpor and knock out but cannot kill, and is healed at the same rate as bashing damage. Changelings treat the damage as Chimerical, a changeling reduced to zero health will require dross to remember who they are upon recovery.

LEVEL 5

◉◉◉◉◉ Cloak The Gathering
The vampire can shelter their companions under the cloak of Obfuscate.
System:
NORMAL ACTION
The character may conceal one extra individual for each dot of Stealth he possesses.
The Obfuscate power used on the group can be any known to the user, and every member of the group count as having used it on themselves, using the Obfuscating vampire’s rating as their own when needed for a roll. Members of the group can still perceive each other while under the effects of the power. If anyone besides the user is revealed, either through their own doing or an astute observer, the rest of the group remains hidden. If the user is revealed, so is everyone else.

◉◉◉◉◉ Catholicum
The vampire’s mastery of chimerstry now allows them to steal senses away, as well as to induce multiple illusions at once. This is the power that most makes the Ravnos mistreated, for their ability to create a new reality for you.

Works almost identically to Horrid reality except for a few changes.

Vampire can creates several illusions at once that act as a group.

The group has Obsfuscate + Resolve + successes health in total! (number of illusions is irrelevant)

A Vampire can either direct the illusions to swarm one target (single target attack) or divide among a group. Either way, each round the vampire only makes a single attack roll.

SINGLE TARGET ATTACKS : Attacks are made with Obfuscate + Resolve as usual for horrid reality.

AOE ATTACKS: as above but rolled as a feat at difficulty 10+ opponents individually roll def at difficulty 10+

This does mean that vampire is unable to do anything but control the illusions and defend one self.

If creating scenes that aren't intended to harm , one may narrate the multiple illusions as one wishes. For example they can create a whole stage play with illusionary actors if they wish.

OBJECTS require 1 success to be allocated to them to create. This will lower the health available to the -group- of illusions by 1 for each object made for the scene.

If one wishes to create an object for the scene instead of character the following rules apply.

SIZE AND MATERIAL STRENGTH

Each dot in Resolve and Obsfuscate adds +4 meters to the size of any illusionary object for example a 40 meter bridge would require Resolve 5 and obfuscate 5 to create.

Generation 7 characters who have achieved ranks 1-thru 5 in this discipline may purchase ONE of the following disciplines below. The character may buy all level 6 ranks providing it is an IN CLAN discipline.

◉◉◉◉◉ ◉ Conceal
The vampire may mask an inanimate object up to the size of a house (Obfuscate cannot be used to disguise inanimate objects without the use of this power). If the object is hidden, so are all of its contents. While Conceal is in effect, passersby walk around the concealed object as if it were still visible, but refuse to acknowledge that they are making any kind of detour.
System:
Normal Action.
Duration until discovery.
In order to activate this power, a character must be within about 30 feet (approximately 10 meters) of the object to be concealed and the item must hold some personal significance for him. The Conceal power functions as Unseen Presence for purposes of detection, as well as the duration and durability of the disguise. Conceal can be used on a vehicle in which the character is traveling. In this instance, traffic patterns seem to flow around the vehicle, and accidents are actually less likely as other drivers subconsciously maneuver away from the concealed auto. A police radar gun still registers a speeding car masked in this fashion, but the officer behind the gun is disinclined to make a traffic stop of the phantom blip. Using Conceal on aircraft is problematic, as the power's range generally doesn't extend far enough to cover air traffic controllers and the like.

A vampire with this power is able to shrug off telepathic contact, easily withstanding invasive probes of her mind.

The Vampire can use his power not only to disappear, but also to appear shifted a little to one side or the other. Essentially, she isn’t standing quite where she appears to be. This makes the vampire extremely difficult to hit. It is almost harder to strike her than when she is invisible, as trying to ignore what you can see in front of you is very difficult.

Most Obfuscate powers require the individual using them to be within a short distance of the subjects of the concealment. Cache extends this range considerably, allowing an elder with this power to leave people or objects safely hidden while he goes about his business elsewhere.

◉◉◉◉◉ ◉◉ Veil Of Blissful Ignorance
This power's development is attributed to the Malkavians, but many Nosferatu have also found it to be highly useful. The Veil of Blissful Ignorance allows a vampire to Obfuscate an unwilling victim, removing him from the notice of others. Some Nosferatu use this power to teach a humbling lesson to individuals who take the presence and aid of others for granted, while others utilize it to remove an essential member of a group in the midst of a crisis.

ROLL: Obfuscate + Stealth Difficulty victims
If the roll is a success, the victim is subject to the effects of Vanish From the Mind's Eye for a length of time determined by the number of successes the player rolls. The victim of Veil of Blissful Ignorance does not necessarily know that he is under the effect of this power. He is only aware that everyone around him has suddenly begun acting as if he were not there. The victim cannot break this effect, even with violence; if he attacks someone, the target ascribes the act to the visible individual nearest to him. More than one fatal brawl has been incited by this side-effect. The Veil persists even if the vampire who activated it leaves the area. Curiously enough, Veil of Blissful Ignorance can never be used on anyone who is ready and willing to accept its effects.
