Nocturne V.2
A World of Darkness Sim
GHOULS
SLAVES TO BLOOD
Ghoul is a term given by vampires to their blood bonded minions. Blood bond is created by feeding a human some of the vampire blood.

Ghouls are omnipresent servants, easily created, and often heavily abused. A ghoul’s emotions run to extremes with the heady drug of vitae in his veins — such a creature often falls prey to great rages and disturbing cravings. The name “ghouls” was not chosen at random. This to be said, it is not uncommon for masters to care for their ghouls, after all the relationship that shows care will make ghoul more loyal and one of abuse will even turn the dedication that is brought with the bond into hate. Sill, the ghoul will always seek their regnants blood as long as they are under its influence.

NPC DOMINATORS ARE NOT PERMITTED.
Your dominator must be a player character who is regularly playing their role.
Contrary, vampire must be up front in OOC when they are trying to ghoul someone.

BLOOD BOND
One of the most wondrous and terrible properties of Kindred vitae is its ability to enslave nearly any being who drinks of it three times on three separate nights (no more than 7 days apart). Each sip of a particular Kindred's blood gives the Kindred in question a greater emotional hold over the drinker.
A vampire who holds a blood bond over another being is said to be that victim's regnant, while the being subordinate to the bond is called the ghoul.

First Drink: The drinker begins to experience dreams about said vampire and find them on their mind. However vampire holds no control over them in any way and the person ahve no strong feelings about the vampire if there were none to begin with.

Second Drink: The drinker's feelings grow strong enough to influence their behavior. Looking out for their well being be it physically or socially, making sure that no harm comes to them. The drinker at this point will try to justify vampires actions and just always try to see them in positive light, however this does not overrule self preservation or safety of the close friends and loved ones.

Third Drink: Full-scale blood bond. At this level, the drinker is completely bound to the vampire. Vampire is the most important person in their life; lovers, relatives, children, and even own self become secondary to this devotion. They are very very unlikely to resist a vampire in anything at this point but some say that there is only one thing stronger, True Love.

Like any other relationship, treatment and courtesy play a part in the dynamics of the bond. A ghoul who is treated well and fed often will likely fall even more deeply in love, while a thrall who is degraded and humiliated may find resentment and anger eating away at the bond.

It may be agreed between players that their feeding happens off screen if both parties wish to maintain blood bond but don't wanna spend more scenes refreshing it.

GHOUL STATUS BONUSES

Upon achieving 3rd level Blood Bond a human becomes a Ghoul and gains these bonuses:
-

-
Cut passive healing time in half.
-
Gain Equal amount of Blood points to the Vampire's Blood Potency, this blood restores to maximum every day.

-
Ghouls don't suffer hunger in the same way as vampires as their blood pool replenishes over time rather than requiring a feed. Ergo their balance remains the default human level of 2.

Ghouls with 7th generation Dominator may buy level 2 in clan Disciplines.

RESISTING & BREAKING BLOOD BOND
It is possible, though difficult, for a vampire to temporarily resist a blood bond. Doing so requires the player to make a Roll Resolve + Composure, Difficulty 25. Upon doing so, the bond is negated for a scene.

The Blood Bond goes down a level for every week that ghoul have not had vampires blood, till it fully shatters after 3 weeks. However upon reducing your Blood Bond to level 1 you lose your access to your Ghoul bonuses and the addiction kicks in, making you crave vampire blood.
If you wish to resist drinking blood you must Roll Resolve + Composure, Difficulty 20. It takes a month of being fully clean of vampire blood to get rid of addiction entirely.

Note: This type of addiction is more mental than it is physical so blood transfusion don't do the trick, the person have to grit through the withdrawal even if the bond is shattered through magical means.

EMBRACING A GHOUL
When embraced a ghoul may keep their Disciplines as they are or relocate the 3 points the way they prefer. They also get a Generation one above their sire's.
