PROTEAN
Protean allows the Kindred the mystical ability to manipulate his physical form. Some vampires believe the power stems from a heightened connection to the natural world, while others consider it to be a magnification of the mark of Caine. Whatever its basis may be, those that develop this Discipline can grow bestial claws, take on the forms of bats and wolves, turn themselves into mist, and even meld into the very earth itself.
Transformed Kindred can generally use other Disciplines — vampires in wolf form can still read auras and communicate with other animals, for example. However, the Storyteller may rule that certain Disciplines may not be used in specific situations. The Kindred's clothes and personal possessions also change when he transforms (presumably absorbed within his very substance), although armor and the like do not provide any benefit while transformed.

Vampires cannot change or transform large objects or other beings; Protean is a personal expression of power. A Kindred who has been staked (thereby trapping his soul within his body) cannot transform. Some vampires believe that those who have mastered the highest levels of Protean can deny this limitation.

NOTE: Gangrel generally go for more animal like features while Setites prefer reptile like features.

LEVEL 1
​
â—‰ Predatory Sense
The vampire takes on animalistic feature to heighten their senses. This ranges from glowing eyes, forked tongue, etc.

+1 Perception rolls, also allows to see through darkness without penalties, including supernatural darkness.
The Options range from: Eyes of the beast (glowing eyes of any color), horrid snake like nostrils, forked tongue, bat like echo location, etc.

â—‰ Eyes of the Serpent
grants the user a hypnotic gaze of the snake. Their eyes become gold and others become strangely attracted to them. Upon eye contact victims get paralyzed.

Resisted Action
Roll Charisma + Protean vs Resolve + Composure
Duration: until turned off
As long as you keep someones eye contact, they may not move and feel sluggish, focused on the gaze. However start of a combat breaks this power.

LEVEL 2

◉◉ Feral Weapon
The vampire can extend their natural weapons to monstrous proportions. This usually takes the form of fingernails extending into wicked talons but can also come in other forms such as fangs elongating into veritable daggers, as from a gigantic serpent.

Pick 1 for every time you buy this power.
Add +2 to attack rolls, turns Damage into Aggravated type. ​

The vampire grows either thick hide or reptile like scales to toughen up their defenses.

LEVEL 3

◉◉◉ Earth Meld
Becoming one with the soil, the vampire sinks into the earth. Unless in torpor, the vampire rises again the following night.

TAKES one turn to sink
DURATION: Till vampire decides to emerge or is ejected via physical violence.
Vampire must be on a natural surface: rocks, raw earth, grass, etc. This power does not work on concrete, asphalt, or other artificial surfaces. It takes a turn for the vampire to sink into the earth, leaving carried objects behind atop the soil. While in the earth the vampire is aware of their surroundings and may move 10 meters per turn to emerge else where, except during day-sleep.

The merging may be contested by Strength + Brawl vs Strength + Brawl roll.

LEVEL 4

◉◉◉◉ Shape Of The Beast
The vampire can assume the shape of an animal roughly the same size as their original mass. The vampire can only change into one type of animal (usually a wolf, sometimes a large feline or a giant snake), usually one associated with their clan or the type of prey they most commonly feed on. The animal, while usually a spectacular example of their species, shows no signs to a mundane observer of being supernatural.

Costs 1 Blood Point
Large form (Wolf/Gator/Big Snake/Cougar/etc): +2 Strength, +2 Dexterity, +2 Stamina, and +2 Perception. Deal Aggravated Damage.
Smaller form (Bird/Snake/Rat/Bat/etc): You gain +5 to Dexterity, +3 to Perception, and +3 to Stealth. However there are drawbacks, such as your HP and Strength are cut down in half (round up.)

At Reaching Blood Potency 5: Vampire achieves a Form that is a combination between a man and a beast. The are bipdal, much larger than a human and usually represents an animal, insect, or reptile that vampire feels most kinship to.
Stats: +3 to Strength, Stamina, Dexterity, and Perception as well as allows to deal aggravated damage.

NOTE: Does not stack with Feral Weapon or Feral Defense.

LEVEL 5
◉◉◉◉◉ Mist Form
The vampire gains the legendary power to turn into a cloud of mist, perceivable to the eye but untouchable by anything save fire, sunlight, and supernatural aggression. They can fit through pipes, crevices, and cracks.
Normal Action;
Costs 1 Blood Point
TAKES 3 turns to transform( spending additional blood points speeds up the process 1 turn per blood point)
DURATION: Lasts until dawn or vampire chooses to turn back.
Vampires in Mist Form can perceive their surroundings normally, although they cannot use powers that require eye contact. The vampire is immune to all mundane physical attacks while in mist form, although fire and sunlight affect him normally. The character may not attack others physically while in this state — this includes encountering another vampire in mist form. Vampire may use Disciplines that do not require physical substance.

This may be used to avoid the damage if you are willing to spend 3 blood points at once.
​
NOTE: Reforming back into solid form is near instantaneous and takes no blood but it does take an actions, however if you have more than one action, you may still act on those.

◉◉◉◉◉ The Unfettered Heart
Having mastered the power of Protean, the very insides of the user become malleable, almost viscous. The heart, seat of the vitae and unlife of the vampire, detaches and moves freely, if sluggishly, within the chest. This makes the vampire exceedingly hard to stake as the position of their heart changes nightly, and can even allow the user to free themselves from paralysis.

Generation 7 characters who have achieved ranks 1-thru 5 in this discipline may purchase ONE of the following disciplines below. The character may buy all level 6 ranks providing it is an IN CLAN discipline.

◉◉◉◉◉ ◉ Loki's Gift
A Gangrel with this gift may assume the form of the last thing she fed upon, be it human, Cainite, or animal. She does not gain any powers, knowledge, or skills from her victim, just the appearance. If she takes the appearance of a human or animal, though, she sheds all signs of her Cainite heritage.

Costs 2 Blood Point
After a vampire drinks from a victim, she may assume the victim’s form. The change lasts until reverted. However, once reverted, she can change again, until she feeds from something else.

◉◉◉◉◉ ◉ Shape Mastery
With this power, the vampire forces a shapeshifting creature to return its true form. Gangrel shift from animal to vampire, lupines take their breed forms, and other shapeshifters find their default shape with a simple touch.

Costs 2 Blood Points
Roll Resolve + Protean vs Resolve + Composure after touching a victim, the touch can come in form of attack.
Success forces the victim to his true form, and forces him to keep that default form for one turn. Additional successes add additional turns where the creature is denied his shapeshifting abilities.

◉◉◉◉◉ ◉◉ Restore The Mortal Visage
Cainites are of two opinions regarding this power. Those who are politically active, or who associate extensively with mortals, view it as both necessary and acceptable. Those Kindred who embrace their more feral sides, however, see it as a disgusting defiance of the very nature of vampirism. The schism comes because the power allows the elder who possesses it to temporarily return his appearance to what it was before the Embrace, removing the bestial features he has accumulated over the centuries. Restore the Mortal Visage has only been displayed by Gangrel; several Nosferatu elders have attempted to develop it, and it is whispered that they met spontaneous, grotesque Final Deaths when they attempted to take their mortal forms.

Duration: One Scene
Success restores the character's appearance to what it was just before he was first Embraced, erasing all physical or social animalistic features gained from frenzies The power also affects any of the character's affected Traits relating to social interaction, returning them to their original values
A botched roll earns the character another feature, as per the Gangrel Clan weakness. Once activated, Restore the Mortal Visage lasts for the remainder of the scene.

◉◉◉◉◉ ◉◉ Spectral Body
This powerful variation on Mist Form allows a vampire to take a shape with most of the advantages of the lesser power but fewer of the disadvantages. A vampire who assumes Spectral Form retains his normal appearance, but becomes completely insubstantial. He walks through walls and bullets with equal ease, and can pass through the floor on which he stands if he chooses to. Although his lungs are no longer solid, the vampire can still speak, a fact in which some elders of the Daughters of Cacophony bloodline have expressed great interest.

Duration: One Night
When the power takes hold, the character becomes completely insubstantial, but remains fully visible. Henceforth, he is unaffected by any physical attacks, and he doubles his soak damage from fire and sunlight. The vampire may even ignore gravity if he chooses to do so, rising and sinking through solid objects if he does not wish to stand on them (although he may move no faster than his normal walking speed while "flying" in this manner). While in this form, the character may also use any Disciplines that do not require physical contact or a physical body. On the downside, while in Spectral Form, a vampire can physically manipulate his environment only through the use of powers such as Movement of the Mind.

◉◉◉◉◉ ◉◉ Animal Swarm
Upon activating this power, the Gangrel dissolves into a swarm of small creatures, such as rats, crows, or scorpions. The creatures remain under the Gangrel’s control, and he may direct them in unison or as individuals.

Costs 2 Blood Point
The Gangrel may disperse into as many creatures as he has blood points, with each creature carrying that one blood point; he may choose to form fewer creatures, in which case the blood points are divided as evenly as possible among them. The creatures may act in concert, or individually follow a simple plan such as “scatter and hide.” the Gangrel may pay close attention to only one component creature at a time. For example, he may listen in on a conversation using the body of one rat, while directing the dozen others to keep moving and avoid detection.
