UMBROOD GUIDE
This section exists for Garou, Mages And Thrashing Dragon Sorcerers in order that they may craft Fetishes / Artifacts. Binding umbrood (nature spirits /Elemental Spirits / Emotional Spirits/ Conceptual Spirits ) into items is the the soul respite of these groups. So this is a shared resource for them. The means of crafting fetishes varies between them, but the nature of the spirits (Umbrood) Themselves does not.

Compared to the way others make magic weapons, fetish creation is a relatively easy and simple process (The act of catching and binding a spirit is not so..) Note: Wraith are not umbrood, and the process of using Wraith in fetish is something only mages and wraith are able to do through a process of soul forging...

ADVANTAGE: Each advantage has an XP cost. Advantages may be imbued into weapons or items that have been purchased (Unless Item is already a magical item) Only one advantage can be added to an item/weapon. A character may not own multiple instances of the same advantage!

MAGE: Only Dreamspeakers may create spirit fetishes, other mages make wonders and talismans in the usual way.

WAN KUEI: Only Thrashing Dragon and Spirit Of The Living Earth Dharmas may create spirit fetishes.

BUILT IN ESSENCE: A character must pay a Gnosis, Quintessence, Yang Chi cost equal to the level of the item to activate it. If the character receiving the item, has their own Gnosis, Quintessence, Yang Chi then they pay from their essence pool each activation. Otherwise the item/weapon needs a built in essence pool equal to the level of the item. There is an XP cost to add this feature.​

GIFTING: If the Artifact/Fetish is a gift then the recipient needs to pay the XP cost of the gift. Built in Essence is only required for those that don't have Gnosis/Quintessence/ Yang Chi. ONLY those three essences count, any other kind of Essence (Blood, Faith, Yin Chi etc) Does not Count!

SCAR FETISH: Garou, and only garou can bind "Item" spirits to scars if they so wish. Obviously some Advantages are useless contained within Scars. Such as items that need to be given to other characters to hold or items used to tie up or place on others. WEAPON Advantages cannot be bound to Scars.

ANCESTOR SPIRITS: Ancestors, will not allow themselves to be bound to fetishes of Mages or artifacts of Wan -Kuei. Nor can they be gifted in fetishes to non werewolves.

You may not -stack- duplicate effects (You may only take each spirit advantage ONCE)

The number of fetishes/artifacts you may have is equal to your GAROU RANK, YOUR DHARMA RANK, OR YOUR SPIRIT SPHERE RANK

Non Garou, Mage, Wan Kuei who are awarded fetishes are limited to 1 per dot of RESOLVE.

You may not possess a Fetish/Artifact with an advantage level higher than your Garou Rank (Garou) Dharma Rank,(Wan Kuei) Spirit Sphere Rank (Mages) or Resolve Rank (anything else) Umbrood only allow the -worthy- to command them.
