DROSS

In the dreaming, A special kind of chimera exists, dross is Glamour made solid. It can manifest as any kind of small item: river rocks, small gemstones, feathers, beads, coloured leaves, lower petals, strips of bark, loose scales, and tufts of fur are fairly common manifestations, but any item a person can hold in a closed hand is a valid form.

One piece of dross is equivalent to one point of Glamour and many changelings use dross as a form of currency in Kithain society.

Dross may be used by players for cantrips, enchantments, crafting, and other effects requiring Glamour point expenditure.

Dross also exists in the mundane or autumn world, although it is locked away inside great works of art, books or musical scores. Famous pieces contain more dross than others. Changeling treasures also contain an amount of nascent dross.

In Nocturne players can harvest dross from the special chimera in the dreaming, from changeling treasures or from mortal works of art.

However, a changeling can only carry 1 half their glamour rank (rounded down) in Dross at a time, to carry more is to suffer bedlam.

Also a changeling cannot -endlessly- destroy items in an area to extract glamour, this is the opposite of being dream struck, this is highly banal.

A changeling can only SPEND up to half their glamour rank (rounded down)  in Dross per scene.
